Tutoring Session Information
With over 15 years of tutoring experience, Jayne de Silva is a qualified Japanese teacher dedicated to helping students build confidence and achieve better results in high school and primary school Languages Other Than English - Japanese studies.
Each weekly or fortnightly 1-hour private session costs $110 and is held at 8 Rangatira Crescent, West Busselton. Jayne provides all the necessary resources and sends students home with practice questions to reinforce their learning and support long-term retention.
Casual sessions are perfect for students needing focused support before tests, exams, speaking assessments, or assignments. Whether it’s grammar revision, kanji practice, speaking confidence, listening skills, or help understanding tricky concepts, Jayne tailors each session to your needs. Available in Busselton or online, these flexible sessions help students feel prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.
Sessions can be semi-private if your child brings a friend doing the same course, or if a sibling works independently alongside the main student. There’s no extra cost for an additional student, but one parent pays for the session and arranges reimbursement with the other.
Sessions can also be held online, allowing students to see and hear Jayne’s teaching in real time, ask questions as they go, and have their work checked and guided by her.
Missed sessions (due to illness, camp, etc.) can either be either converted to an online session, be attempted to be rescheduled, or cancelled. Sessions that fall on public holidays still go ahead by default.
Sessions run during WA school terms only and pause over the school holidays to give students time to rest and recharge. Extra sessions can be arranged during the holidays for students who would like to revise previous content, get ahead for the new year, or prepare for upcoming Japanese assessments or exams.
